We're yourneighbors.
For 27 years, Community Resource Services has served Lunenburg and surrounding counties, first with food, and now with so much more.
Our mission
Being "more than food."
A trusted community hub where individuals and families can access resources, support and opportunities to improve their quality of life.
Through compassionate service, strong partnerships and innovative programs, CRS addresses immediate needs while empowering lasting stability, health and self-sufficiency. We're committed to strengthening our rural communities by connecting with people, fostering collaboration, and creating pathways to hope, dignity and a brighter future for all.

Why CRS exists
Asking for help takes courage. We honor that.
Walking into a food pantry can feel humbling. CRS was built to protect people's self-respect, not chip away at it.
Access to nutritious food is a basic human right. So is being treated with respect while you get it. That's why CRS welcomes neighbors to choose their own food, and why we bring agencies, nonprofits and local businesses together under one roof to share their programs and services.
The goal isn't only to fill a grocery bag. It's to be a catalyst for stability, food security and well-being, so people can find their footing and move forward.
How we show up.
Dignity first
Every person who walks through the door is a neighbor, valued, heard and supported.
Choice, not a box
Client Choice lets families select what fits their household, their culture and their health needs.
Support beyond groceries
Bridges of Support workshops and community services connect neighbors with help for the whole family.
Stronger together
Partnerships with local, district and regional organizations widen what's possible for our community.
27 years, one community.
CRS has grown beyond hunger relief to enrich the lives of our neighbors and strengthen our community, one partnership at a time.
Where it began
Fighting hunger close to home
CRS began with a focus on food insecurity for families in Lunenburg and surrounding counties.
Growing with partners
TEFAP and CSFP
Federal food programs, delivered with regional partners like FeedMore, bring staples and fresh produce to income-eligible neighbors and older adults.
Rescuing good food
Direct Store Pickup
Surplus groceries from local retailers are collected and shared, so more food reaches tables instead of the trash.
Learning together
Bridges of Support
Community workshops with guest speakers on senior services, legal rights, social services and financial wellness.
